Zoot does not gather or retain any information about its users or their data. Zoot does not share any data accessed by the user or otherwise provided by the user.

Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. Wherever possible, Zoot uses security methods which do not require the storage of passwords. In cases where no such security method exists, Zoot uses encryption to store passwords securely.

Zoot uses a number of Application Programming Interfaces (API) provided by companies such as Google, Reddit, and Pocket, in order to let users access data stored on the servers maintained by those companies. For example, Zoot uses an API provided by Google to let users access e-mail from their Gmail account. All data accessed in this manner travels directly from those company servers to the user's personal computer. At no time does any user data travel through any Zoot Software servers.
