How to Find Lost Items
Top  Previous  Next

When you create an item in Zoot, you must first choose a database in which to create the item. If you're having trouble locating an item you created, follow these steps:

1. Make sure you're looking in the right database. The name of the active database is displayed in Zoot's application titlebar.

2. Press Ctrl+Q and type a word or phrase which appears in the item you seek. Zoot immediately displays any matching items.

If you see the item you seek, double-click on it and Zoot will open it. If you do not see the item, you're either looking in the wrong database or the item was deleted. To undelete an item, follow these steps:

1. From Zoot's main menu, choose Edit | Undo Special | Undo All Deletes.

2. Zoot creates a folder to display any deleted items. Review the items to see if the missing item is present. If so, drag the item and drop it into another folder to move it out of the Deleted Items folder.

3. To delete the remaining items, right-click the Deleted Items folder and choose Delete | Folder and Items from the pop-up menu.

If you are still unable to locate your missing item, it may be in a different database. Search this help file for instructions on performing a Global Search.
