From Zoot's main menu, choose File | Backup | View Backups. Zoot opens Database Manager and checks the Show Backups check box (located in the top right corner of the screen). Backup databases are shown with a red cross icon.

Backup files are given different file extensions to indicate why they were created:

DATABASE.OO1 .002 .003 etc.
These are backups created when there is a system crash or power outage.

DATABASE.BK1 .BK2 .BK3 etc.
These are daily backups, created each day, staggered. You can change the number of staggered backups -- choose File | Backup | Setup Automatic Backup from Zoot's main menu.

DATABASE.BKZ
This is a long term backup, typically created every two weeks.

DATABASE.BKS
Zoot creates this backup after a database has been successfully saved to disk.

Notes:

·For instructions on restoring a database from backup, search the help file for "Restore".
