Tour: Item Editor
Top  Previous  Next

When you click on an item in the Item Grid, the document associated with that item is displayed in the Item Editor. The Item Editor works more or less like a simple word processor. Any changes you make to the document are saved as soon as you move the input focus off of the Item Editor. For instance, if you click on the Folder Tree or the Item Grid, any changes in the Item Editor will be saved to the database immediately.

You can right-click on the Item Editor to access a number of editor-related commands. You can quickly rename an item by highlighting text in the Item Editor and pressing the F2 key. You can also highlight text in the Item Editor and drag and drop it onto the Item Grid to create a new item (or even a series of items, based on a delimiter found in the highlighted text).
