The Desktop Database Bar runs across the main application window and gives you quick access to your most frequently used databases. A single mouse click will open a Desktop Database. To open other databases, click the Open button located at the far left side of the Desktop Database Bar.
The default Desktop Databases are shown above (Tasks, Calendar, Contacts, etc.), but you can add your own databases to the bar too (right-click a button to Add/Remove/Modify a Desktop Database). The default Desktop Database files are all stored in a single file folder called Desktop so that the files are easy to access. Click the Databases button on the toolbar to open Database Manager, then click on the Desktop file folder and you will see the Desktop Database files.
When you create a new project in Zoot, you can reshape the Desktop Database Bar to feature the databases related to that project. For example, you might create a project called Music and add all of your music related databases to the Desktop Database Bar for quick access. When you switch to another project, the Desktop Database Bar updates accordingly, showing only the databases related to that project.
The left/right arrow buttons at the far right side of the Desktop Database Bar let you cycle through open databases or see a menu of open databases.
