Quick Query

Located just above the Desktop database bar is the Quick Query box (look for the [?] icon on the far left side). if you type a word or phrase into the Quick Query box, Zoot immediately searches the active database and displays any matching items.

The Quick Query match list is updated immediately as you type. As soon as the list of matches is to your liking you can:

·Press the Enter key and Zoot will create a folder and save all matching items in it.  
·Double-click on a single item to open it.  
·Highlight several items, right click and choose one of the Save commands from the pop-up menu.  


Notes:

·To quickly move the input focus to the Quick Query box so you can begin typing in your query, press Ctrl+Q. If you press Ctrl+Q twice Zoot switches to Quick Filter mode. You can press Ctrl+Q repeatedly to toggle between Quick Query and Quick Filter modes.  
 
·You can have Quick Query search only a subset of items in the active database. Click the Scope button, located at the far right side of the Quick Query box, then choose an item subset from the pop-up menu.  
 
·If you have a word or phrase in the Quick Query edit box and you press the F3 key, Zoot searches the active item and highlights the matching text in the Item Editor.
