Item Grid Menu

You access the Item Grid pop-up menu by right-clicking on the Item Grid. The pop-up menu features the following commands.

New
Creates a new item.

Open
Opens selected item(s) in a detached Item Editor window or in a detached Folder window.

Modify
Reveals an extended menu of frequently used item properties for quick editing.

Send To
Copy or move selected item(s) to another database.

Copy
   Copy selected item(s) to the clipboard as shortcuts. You can then paste the shortcuts into the Shortcuts Collection of another item, or paste the shortcuts into a Windows file folder or onto the Windows Desktop. Search help for Shortcuts to learn more.

Paste
Access various Paste commands:

Shortcuts - pastes any files or Zoot shortcuts that you've copied to the clipboard into the item's Shortcuts Collection.

File Links - Creates File Links to any files you've copied to the clipboard.

·

Files - Imports any files you've copied to the clipboard.

·

File Extracts - Extracts text from any files you've copied to the clipboard based on a delimiter you provide.

·

Text - Creates an item based on text you've copied to the clipboard.

·

Text Extracts - Creates a series of items based on text you've copied to the clipboard and a delimiter you provide.

·

Combined Items - Creates a new item based on the combined contents of items selected in the Item Grid.

Clear
Clear folder assignments and access an assortment of other clearance commands:

·

All Categories - Clear out all categories currently assigned to selected items.

·

All Shortcuts - Clear out all shortcuts in the Shortcuts Collection of selected items

·

All Folder Assignments - Clear all folder assignments for selected items.

·

All Blocked Folders - When an item has been explicitly removed from a folder, the item cannot be reassigned to that folder via a rule. Issue this command to clear any so blocked folders.

Delete
Delete selected items.

Properties
View and modify item properties.
