How to Set Up Zoot to Wander

You can install Zoot on a removable drive and set up the program so that you can carry the removable drive from computer to computer. The main benefit is that you never need to synchronize your databases because you carry them with you.


To set up Zoot on a removable drive, follow these steps:

1. Copy your Zoot data files over to the removeable drive. The folders (+ subfolders) you need to copy are:

...\Zoot Files\Database

...\Zoot Files\Storage

2. Install Zoot on each computer you intend to use when you wander.

3. Run Zoot and choose Tools | Options and click the Startup Tab. CWhere it says "Store my data in folders under...", click the small [-] button and tell Zoot where to find your removeable drive.

You may now carry your removable drive to any other computer and run Zoot.
