You can see more of the Item Grid by hiding the Folder Tree. Click the small [x] button, located just above the Folder Tree (right side) and the Folder Tree disappears. To make the Folder Tree reappear, choose View | Folder Tree from the main menu (or click any blank area on the status bar located just above the Item Grid). The shortcut key for this action is Shift+F12.
