How to Create a Web Page from a Database
Top  Previous  Next

You can send the contents of a Zoot database directly to your default Web browser in order to create a browseable web page. You can send the contents of either a folder or group of folders, or items you select in the Item Grid.

Here we will send the contents of Zoot's help file database to your default Web browser:

1. Open Zoot's help file database. Just above Zoot's Folder Tree, click the little Expand/Collapse button to expand the Folder Tree so that you can see all of the folders in the database.

2. Select all of the folders in the Folder Tree (or press Ctrl+A).

3. On the toolbar, click Print and choose Send to Browser from the pop-up menu. Zoot displays an Options Dialog. The options offered control which elements of your Zoot database will be included in the output. When you're done selecting options, click the OK button and Zoot will generate a web page and load it into your default Web browser.

Notes:

·If you wish to save the web page to a file for permanent storage, choose File | Save As from your browser's main menu, otherwise Zoot will overwrite the web page the next time you use the Send to Browser command.
