How to Add a Delimited Field Column

A delimited field can be made of any line of text which ends in a colon. The following are all examples of valid delimited fields:

From:

To:

Date:

Birthday:

Ref ID:

You can add a delimited field to a view as a column for easy viewing and quick data entry.


To add a delimited field to a view, follow these steps:

1. Highlight the delimited field using your mouse.

2. Drag the highlighted text and drop it onto the Item Grid's Column Headings Bar. Drop the text exactly where you want the column to be created.

3. Zoot displays a Field Properties Dialog which allows you to set display and data type properties for the delimited field. Make your selections, the click OK and Zoot adds the delimited field to your view.

To create a Delimited Field Column from scratch, right-click the Column Headings Bar and choose New Delimited Column from the pop-up menu.
