How to Transfer Zoot to a New Computer

Before transferring Zoot to a new computer, take the opportunity to backup all of your Zoot databases (.ZOT) for safekeeping.


To transfer Zoot to a new computer, follow these steps:

1. Install the latest version of Zoot on the new computer using the full installation downloaded from the web site.

2. Run Zoot one time on the new machine to initialize the new installation.

3. Copy the following Zoot folders from the old machine to the new machine:

...\Zoot Files\Database

...\Zoot Files\Storage

Include any sub-folders of these folders also. If prompted, answer Yes to overwrite any existing files on the new machine.
