New
Create a new project or a new database.

Open
Open Project Manager or open a database.

Save
Access various save database commands:

·Save All - saves all open databases.  
·Save and Close Inactive - saves all open databases and closes all but the active database.  
·Save <Active> - saves the active database.  
·Save as Template - saves the active database as a database template. You can then create new databases based on the saved template.  

Compact
Compact the active database or all open database.

Backup
Access database backup commands:

·Backup <Active> Now - immediately saves the active database and then creates a backup. The backup will have a .BKS file extension. Zoot may also create a staggered backup (.BK1, .BK2, etc.), depending on the database's backup settings.  
 
·Set up Automatic Backup - opens an Options Dialog so that you can set backup options for the active database.  
 
·View Database Backups - Opens Database Manager and displays your backup databases. Backup databases have a red cross icon.  
 
·Create Off-site Backups - Lets you select databases to be backed up to a CD-RW disk or some other external media.  

Password
Set a password for the active database and (optionally) encrypt the database.

Import
Access file import commands:

·File Wizard - opens the File Wizard to guide you through the import process.  
·Zoot Database - lets you import items from another database.  
·Extract Web Links - lets you import URLs from a file.  
·Extract Email Links - lets you import e-mail addresses from a file.  

Export
Open the Export Dialog, which lets you export database items in Tab or Comma delimited file format.

Print
Access print commands:

·Print with Zoot - prints items using Zoot's internal print engine.  
·Print with Outlook - prints items using the Microsoft Outlook print engine.  
·Print with MSIE - prints items using the Microsoft Internet Explorer print engine.  
·Send to File - prints items to a file.  
·Send to Browser = prints items to an HTML file and loads the file in your default browser.  

Properties
View the properties of the active database.

Exit
Save all databases and exit Zoot.
