A Quick Query searches only the <Subject> and <Body> fields of your items. To perform more complex queries, choose Query | Advanced Query from the main menu.


To define a complex query in the Query Dialog, follow these steps:

1. Where it says Field, click the field menu button [] and select a field from the pop-up menu.  
 
2. Where it says Value, enter the value or value range you seek.  
 
3. Review your selections, then click the Add button if you're satisfied.  

Click the Find Now button to run your query. Zoot immediately searches the active database for matching items and displays them in the list below.


Notes:

·To save your query to a folder, click the Save button.  
 
·To open a single item from the list of matching items, double-click it.  
 
·To save more than one item from the list, select the items you want to save, then click the Save button.  
 
·When entering values in date fields you can use natural language date expressions, for instance, you can enter "Mon to Fri" and Zoot will automatically interpret the date range. Search the help file for a list of acceptable date expressions.
