Advanced Filter

A Quick Filter filters items based on the <Subject> and <Body> fields of your items. To apply a more complex filter:

1. Choose Advanced Filter from the Query menu and Zoot displays the Advanced Filter Dialog.  
 
2. Where it says Field, click the field menu button [] and select a field from the pop-up menu.  
 
3. Where it says Value, enter the value or value range you want to filter on.  
 
4. Review your selections, then click the Add button if you're satisfied.  

Click the Apply button to apply the filter to the active view. Zoot immediately filters the items in the Item Grid displaying only those items that match the filter. To invert the selection so that only items that do not match the filter are displayed, check the Filter out matching items check box.


Notes:

·You can save an Advanced Filter so that the filter is available for use with Filtered Views. To save a filter you must first click the Apply button to apply the filter to the Item Grid, then you can click the Save button to save the filter.  
 
·When entering values in date fields you can use natural language date expressions, for instance, you can enter "Mon to Fri" and Zoot will automatically interpret the date range. Search the help file for a list of acceptable date expressions.
